SERVICES & PRODUCTS
HILLCREST TURF SERVICES BRINGS OVER 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN TURF MANAGEMENT AND GOLF COURSE CARE TO EVERY PROJECT WE TAKE ON.
We take pride in our work and offer the skills, equipment, and expertise to get every job done quickly, effectively, and with the least amount of disruption to your turf.
Our dethatching service removes excess thatch- the buildup of organic matter which can contribute to the development of disease, insect and localized dry spot pressures along with decreasing water, oxygen and other nutrients from getting to the critical rootzone.
PRECISION DISC SEEDING
Precision seeding means more grass seed, closer together providing you with dense, lush turf grass as it grows. Our precision disc seeding service creates narrow spaces and tighter rows of seed, therefore placing more seed for more grass. At Hillcrest Turf Services, we have our own Rotadairon ED140 Disc Seeder to execute precision seeding of your turf grass. The Disc Seeder is incredibly efficient, covering large areas in very little time - up to an acre per hour. This machine creates tiny slits into which the seed is dropped, with less space between slits creating many more tight rows of seed, and incorporating more seed into each slit than other machines.
WIEDENMANN SUPER 600
With its collection system, the Wiedenmann Super 600 can cleanly mow native grass areas, sweep aeration plugs, verti-cut large areas of turf while collecting the debris in its 6-yard hopper.
TREE ROOT PRUNING
When tree roots start disrupting your grass, it can mean big problems for your turf. Hillcrest’s tree root pruning service cuts back the roots of trees that could compete with your turf for resources, starving the grass of water and nutrients, and breaking through the turf. We use an Imants Root Pruner to effectively prune invasive tree roots. This machine is quicker and cleaner than traditional methods, only leaving behind two small slits, no clean up, and minimal healing. With its incredible efficiency, we are able to cover large areas in little time, taking care of your entire course with ease.
The Air2G2, winner of the 2015 STMA Innovative Award, is a state of the art aerating machine that is revolutionizing turf maintenance for golf courses and athletic fields. Not only can the Air2g2 be used all year, regardless of season, weather, or upcoming events, but it is the only aeration machine that does not disrupt play or require a post-application clean up. This one-of-a-kind machine immediately relieves compaction, aides in surface water drainage by creating larger pore space in the soil subsurface, balances the water to air ratio within the soil and encourages positive microbial activity. Furthermore, the increase in air space within the soil means there’s more room for roots to grow. The deeper the roots grow, the more resistant the turf is to drought conditions.
